Hello there, I'm BusyElf, A recent addition to A PlaceTo Chat, but I've known the owners and most chatters here quite some time.
By now you will know that I have a keen interest in Internet Radio, and wish to develope my hobby into something good and usefull for all you listeners.
The owner has very kindly offered to let me run the Radio Station, (God bless you Typo!) so I'd just like you all to know I want only good things to happen in the future.

I will be retiring soon from my full time job as a Nurse, so will have the time and patience to be here with you all, providing a quality service for you.

I'm not sure where this will go in the distant future but for now I just want the service to be freely accesible and easy to tune into. We have made a good start in this direction and it seems to be working well.

I know it's impossible to please all the people all the time, but with patience and some constructive feedback I hope I can please most of the people most of the time.
Please feel free to send any suggestions or complaints to me either in PM in chat, or via the message boards or even e-mail.

Also some funny stories or news items that are relevant to chat or the general audience would be appreciated, as I can read them out 'on air' when needed.

If there are aspiring DJ's out there PLEASE get in touch as I am very busy with my life and work at present. It would be nice to have some time off .lol
It's really not as hard as it sounds, and any software you might need can be obtained from the internet.
So, come on people, this is your radio too. Let's work together and make it something special for all to enjoy.

The radio has taken on some new features so please be aware that we now have a new server.
We still need new DJ's so keep on posting here and we will consider you in due course.

it would be great if I or Typo could fully integrate puss with the SwampRadio server so we could have song info direct from ther, this would enable all DJ's use the features. I'll have to have a word with him lol.
In the meantime if I am on air, feel free to use the link to to view song info and make requests.

Hi it's me again.....
Just to let you know, we now have a stable and very capable server to run our radio from. Thanks to Froggy & co, we can feel free to be on air 24/7/365 with no connection/dropout problems... This is great news....
and our list of DJ's is growing steadily.... Our latest joiner is Willowprin.. A great gal and very good at giving us some Great music...
It's going from strength to strength so keep listening in guys and gals... Swamp Radio Rocks!

still you guys are using radios.... here in my city its very difficult to see that one.....

well there's new developments here at SwampRadio. We have managed to integrate Skype into my DJ software so that we can now have live discussions on air..I'm not sure of the advatages of this feature yet but I'm sure we can develope some pretty lively topics especially with the groups we already have on the chat site.
I'm open to suggestions from you users as to the subject matter. (Apart from boosting Typo's ego of course)

Hi my name is Puss, I'll be your guide when using the radio, Just type !commands and I will tell you how to work with me.
I'm really working hard on here so spare a thought for me, and just give me some milk when you can, Oh and some catnip would be mighty usefull to gel me through the night too.
I love treats and tuna fish as well.
I'm not really a bad cat, even though I can be a grumpy at times, it's just that I can get a bit strung out when people keep PM'ing me for no reason. so please keep that to a minimum if you can.
I can work with all DJ's on here so never be afraid to ask me anything about the radio and how to listen in.
